My condolences to Mary's family. She was my elementary teacher at Number 5 Logan township in Perth county in 1952/53. She was a wonderful teacher who took a great interest in her students. It may have been her first year as a teacher. She saw enough potential in me that I was able with her help to do grades 7&8 together. In my future education I never wanted to let Miss Stapleton's trust in me down. I expect that her many future students felt the same way.
