Obituary for Clifford George Haggar

Clifford George Haggar
Haggar, Clifford George

Passed away at his home in Smiths Falls on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the age of 62. Cherished son of Rosemary (nee Ramsey) and the late Leo Haggar. Loving brother of Stephen and uncle of Marina. He will be fondly remember by his housemate Kim Kyle, his support workers, his friends Tommy Clark, Susan and Gary Peters, Patricia Harris, and Marlene and John LaRue. Clifford loved spending time watching Batman and Robin, listening to his favourite Scottish tunes and always lending a hand to help others.

When we think of Clifford, we think a family’s love for one another is unconditional and eternal. Our love for Clifford was unconditional and eternal. Every Sunday, Clifford would come to his home on Bacchus Island and spend the afternoon with his mother, Rosemary. His mother would make tea for herself and Clifford and then they would sit at the table and enjoy each others company. They would drink their tea, talk, listen to Scottish music and then have lunch. Eventually, Clifford would have to go back to his group home on Lera Street. Clifford loved Lera Street surrounded by his “extended family” as much as he loved visiting his Mom on Bacchus Island.

Clifford had a sense of humour and he was caring, consistent, talkative and above all, loved everyone that was in his life. That included those in his life at the time of his passing but even those who had passed before him. He will remain in everyone's hearts.

There will be a private family service taking place at a later date with interment at Rideau Ferry Cemetery.
