Obituary for Paul Francis Kelly

Paul Francis Kelly

Kelly, Paul Francis
February 5th, 1974 ~ October 5th, 2019
Our “best pal” Paul Francis Kelly passed away on Saturday, October 5th , 2019 in his home at Deakin House in Perth, ON. He was surrounded by many friends and family. Paul says goodbye to his mother Chris, his father Greg, his brothers Sean (his favourite sister-in-law, Mena) and Kevin. He will be missed by his nephew Andrew, his nieces Kristina, Grace and Brigid (his god-daughter), as well as his grandmother, Betty Cosgrove. Paul will miss all of his close friends at Deakin House who cared so deeply for him and made him so comfortable in his final days.
Paul attended Perth's Life Skills Program where he learned so much from entire staff and other participants. His work placements in Perth included 3M, Pizza Hut and his favourite, serving snacks to students at St. John Catholic Elementary School. He was an avid swimmer, basketball player and renowned for his bowling skills. Paul touched many lives during his time with us. His strength was his ability to bring people together and make anyone feel as though they were the most important person in his life; and they were. A recipient of the Cardinal Carter Award for his many years of altar serving in Stanleyville, ON, Paul had a very strong faith and lived by the virtue of love throughout his life. He was granted to all of us by God and has returned to His loving care.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 7th, 2019 at Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street West, Perth, ON. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 8th in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 38 Wilson Street East, Perth, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory can be made to Deakin House Residential Home. May Paul rest in peace and joy. “May Paul rest in peace and joy”
