Condolence: Shirley and Family. I was saddened to hear of Ellamae's passing. Ellamae and my late Grandma,Sophia Blackburn, were longtime friends. When my Grandma took up residence at Lanark Lodge they reconnected. In fact, Ellamae introduced my late Grandfather,Arden Blackburn to my Grandma . A matchmaker apparently! Grandma and Ellamae were very close in age but your Mom always proudly said she was the oldest. Even after my Grandma died 3 years ago I would visit with Ellamae and she spoke of all of you so proudly . Her trips out west were a real highlight for her.She will be missed, one of a kind for sure.I won't be able to attend her service but Ellamae will always be one of the special people I was lucky to have met.
Sincerely
Karen Blackburn Chenier

Condolence: Shirley and family...we have lost a very good friend. Owen and Ellamae were neighbours for many years. I always enjoyed Elllamae's sense of humor. We had many laughs. I visited her many times in Lanark Lodge and Jerry and I went to her 100th birthday party. David and I went to see her in July when he was home from B.C. She will be greatly missed. RIP Ellamae. +

Condolence: Hello Shirley and family,
I extend my sincere sympathy to you and your family on the loss of Ellamae. I had the privilege of getting to know her over the past few years and quite enjoyed her spirit. She was fiercely independent, even at 100 years of age! Heather Duncan (Lanark Lodge)
