The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of W. Gregory McNally can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Dear Laurie, family, & Father Brian McNally: I would like to express my deepest sympathy to all of you during this difficult time. I first met Greg when I was in Teacher's College at University of Ottawa (many, many years ago!) when he came to present on behalf of the school board and encourage new graduates to apply. I spoke with him after his presentation and was so impressed by his winning smile and how easy he was to talk to. We immediately made all kind of "relative" connections in Perth! Over the years, I was fortunate to benefit from Greg's fabulous leadership, teach with Laurie, see their children grow, receive the aid of Beth in coaching basketball, and have all of our children Baptized by Father McNally at Blessed Sacrament. What a wonderful family! Please know that you will all be in our thoughts & prayers.

Condolence From: Andre Arcand & Mary KIlgour
Condolence: Andre and I wish to express our most sincere condolences to you Laurie, your family, and Father Brian. I am sorry we were not able to give you our sympathy in person. Reading all of the kind tributes to Greg helps us to know Greg even better. It was always a pleasure to speak with Greg and share his warm glowing smile. His Mother in law, Opal spoke so highly of Greg, Laurie, and their family. I always remember the amazing eulogy he gave at Bill Cuthbertson's funeral. May all of your memories help to console you as you grieve. A great man taken away too soon. Sincerely

Condolence From: Ann Seward
Condolence: When I walked into the Catholic District School Board office in Smiths Falls for my first teaching interview in 1990, I had no idea who I was about to meet. When we shook hands, I looked at Mr. McNally and thought, "This is a very nice man, I'm going to be okay". That was the best interview of my life. Mr. McNally (later Greg to me) would ask the questions and as I answered, he kept his head down for most of the interview and wrote, occasionally looking up to smile. I got the job and had the honour of getting to know Greg over the years. I will always remember the card I received in the mail after my Dad died; Greg, then the Director of the CDSBEO, had taken the time to send me a card.
And now I've had the pleasure of getting to know two of his beautiful daughters and their husbands. Greg McNally was a great man. The Seward family is keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
Ann Seward
