When I was sixteen years old I attended a dance with Howard and Rosemary at the Town Hall in Perth. While square dancing my elastic band on my crinoline gave way landing in a puddle at my feet. I finished the square dance and Howard bundled the crinoline under his cardigan and the three of us left the hall. On the way out someone had made a remake with a smirk “gaining a little weight Howard”, Howard just smiled, ever the protective older brother. Love you always Howie!
