Condolence: Dear Marie and Family:
The sadness of losing someone you love can be overwhelming even as we are grateful they are at peace and not suffering any longer. Both Gilles and I are so sorry for your loss. Even when expected, death is such a shock to one's heart and soul. As your family goes through these raw and tender days of remembering and celebrating Jean's life know that there are many of us who are thinking of you and holding you in prayer. In meeting Jean I saw the deep love she had for her husband and family, her wit and intelligence. And her beauty. I will remember her gracious hospitality, her welcoming me into her home, how both the Thompsons made the trek into Ottawa to come to a reading in a hot and crowded store. Jean was pushing her walker, wearing her red suit and looked so elegant. She gave me such a warm and genuine, loving hug. How wonderful that was--- to see familiar faces in a crowd of strangers when I was far away from home. Like having family there. Making that effort and taking the time was such a generous thing to do and meant the world to me I feel blessed to have known her and and especially grateful--- we cherish deeply the friendship we have with her amazing daughter Marie. Much, much love to the Thompson clan.

Condolence:
I wanted to offer my heartfelt condolences.  I know the pain of death is heart breaking, but God's word offers us a wonderful hope.

John 5:28, 29 "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out!"
Revelations 21:3,4 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: 'Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.'"
I hope these scriptures have brought you a measure of comfort. You will be in my prayers.
