Jim passed away in hospital, Smiths Falls on Thursday, October 10, 2019. Beloved husband of Jean Winterburn. Proud father of Brenda and Tammy (Marc). Cherished grandfather of Shawn, Kaitlyn and Chelsea and great-grandfather of Annalea. Brother of Bill (Ina), Carl (Mona), Linda (the late Ted), Sheila (Chuck), Colin and Paul (Gwen), brother-in-law of Doug and Ona. He was predeceased by his siblings Lloyd (Maryanne), Edna (Ken) June and Glen. Jim was the first operator of a nuclear plant for Hydro One. He was a pilot and builder of planes, woodworker, upholstery business, a grand debater of right and wrong and fixer of everything. As per Jim’s request no funeral service will be held. Cremation will take place immediately. The family would like to invite friends and family to drop by for a Celebration of Jim’s life on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the family home at 173 Harold St. Smiths Falls.
