The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Parrish can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Spent quite a few Sat. afternoons trying (usually unsuccessfully) to outwit him at the poker table. Always enjoyed his company. My sincere condolences to Lonnie and family.

Condolence: I met Jim at Dalhousie Glen Golf Club....played many enjoyable games together. We were both part of "Wednesday Whackers" with tee-off at 9am every Wednesday.

This evolved into an invitation from Jim to join his poker group...7pm on Thursday became a ritual. Jim hosted a truly unique game of mini-tournaments and with Lonnie opened his house up to our "motley" group. From "Jimmy Jacks" to "2-4"(only insiders will know this) Jim will truly be missed.

Condolence: Uncle Jim was so much more than an uncle to me. When I was much younger, he took me under his wing. He treated me like a son and taught me so much. He will be forever in my heart. My heart goes out to my Aunt Lonnie and to all of my cousins. I love you all so very much.
