Our friendship developed with time and Barb and I had the pleasure of receiving him for a week in Arizona in 2011. We spent a great week golfing and enjoying his company. Condolence: Randy was the first barber to open a He and She Hairstyling shop in the Town of Renfrew. He was also the first barber to hire a female barber and that got him a lot of respect. He was an active politician, willing community volunteer, business person, family man and friend to all. I was working at Randy’s He and She when Paul Henderson scored the winning goal against Russia in 1972. The barber shop was filled with hockey fans, who watched the twelve inch black and white television, while Randy and I trimmed their hair. He worked with the Downtown Renfrew Merchants to help create a business area that was vibrant and prosperous. He touched many lives, in different ways and will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate to have known him. My condolences to the family.
