Retired Sergeant with the OPP following over 30 years of service
Russ passed away at his home near Perth following a lengthly illness on Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 at the age of 66 years. He was predeceased by his parents Gordon Lackey and Eva Irene (Buker) Lackey-Duncan and his brother Harold Lackey. Russ was the loved husband to Sandra (Blaby) Lackey. He was the loved father to Kori Lackey Terefenko, Kelly (Jim MacKenzie) Lackey, Leanne (Shawn) Kelly and Derek (Melissa Loiselle) Lackey and step father to Simone Dent and Lisa (Scott Sammons) Bartlett. Russ was the cherished grandfather to Jaden, Avery and Rilyn and step grandfather of Tony, Amber-Alivia and Heidi. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Wednesday, April 1st, 2015 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. with funeral service to follow in the Chapel at 10:30 A.M. A reception and time for sharing of memories of Russ will follow in the Perth Lions Hall. In remembrance contributions to the Lung Association or the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
